Ornamentations are augmentation items that change the appearance of your armor. There are four main types:

  • Mold
  • Type 4 or 7 / 8
  • Type 20 - Ornaments.
  • Type 21 (Special Ornamentation) - Hero's Forge armor ornamentation

Mold

This type of ornamentation is a container that can be used once to permanently change the look of the item into that of the mold itself.

Magus Alaria in the Guild Lobby sells:

  • Ornament Mutation Tool - Placing an ornament augmentation into this mold will permanently remove the proc effect and change the augmentation into an ornamentation container that can be used once to permanently change the look of the weapon into that of the mold itself.
  • Ornamentation Stripping Tool - Placing an ornamented item into this mold will permanently remove and destroy the ornamentation and restore the original item look.

Tradeskilled

Players may use tradeskills to create weapon and shield ornamentations.

Type 4 or 7 or 8

This type generally has a proc in addition to changing the look of the item. It can be placed into and removed from an item like most augmentations using a solvent.

Magus Alaria in the Guild Lobby sells an Ornament Mutation Tool which will permanently remove the proc effect and change the augmentation into an ornamentation container (Mold) that can be used once to permanently change the look of the weapon into that of the mold itself.
