Strats:

The goal of this raid is to identify and kill the 4 discordians that have infiltrated the iksar forces and are posing as council members.

Phase 1

The first phase is the trash clear. There is a good bit of trash in the instance but it is all trivial. While it is not absolutly critical to kill it all it is generally a good idea to play it safe. While killing off the trash the 8 council members will be giving zone wide emotes debating on whether or not to join the discordians. Four of them will be for joining, four will be against, and which is which is random. Make note of which four are for joining, these are the ones that need to die.

The four pro-discord messages are:

  • 'With all due respect, you must be mad. Put your pride aside for a moment and consider the ramifications of this decision. Should we side with Discord, we will rule forever. Otherwise, we could doom the whole empire.'
  • 'Yes, yes. They've showed us what will happen if we do not accept their assistance. Collapse, chaos, destruction, the end of our reign. I say we join them! Trust in these Discordians.'
  • 'You speak of bargains but would not know one if it were laid before you like a silver egg. An opportunity such as this will never arise again. We should accept Discord's offer now before it is too late!'
  • 'Rejecting their assistance is pride unless we truly need their help, at which point it becomes suicidal arrogance. You would doom us all to save face. Ask yourself this: is a tradition of arrogance more important than our survival?'
  • Phase 2

    When trash is cleared talk to any of the council, they are non-agro. Say "patience" and all 8 become active. The four that are pro-discord need to be taken down to around 5%, once all are that low kill them. If you kill any while others are higher you get an emote about them forseeing their own death and circumventing it, causing it to respawn at full health. If you kill any of the anti-discords you instantly fail and the event resets.

    The 8 council members have relativly weak melee dps but are necro class mobs and cast dots heavily. Additionally the four pro-discord cast a single target debuff every 25ish seconds, a sequential "vulnerability" that gets stronger each time. Instantly following this vulnerability is an AE for 10k dd + 2k dot. For example, one of them will start with Magic Vulnerability I (50% extra damage from magic and -600 mr debuff) followed by Arcane Withering. The vulnerability turns the Withering into a 15k DD. 25 seconds later it casts Magic Vulnerability II (100% extra damage) and then Arcane Withering, which now lands for 20k. It follows up with Magic Vulnerability III (250%), Magic Vulnerability IV (500%), and finally Magic Vulnerability V (1000%). The higher ranks are obviously not survivable so tanks WILL die. The other pro-discord do the same thing with Fire, Disease, and Poison. It seems that when a tank dies the order resets back to Vulnerability I. However, if the mob is casting a normal necro dot when its "due" to cast the vuln + AE, it skips that round.

    The pro-discords don't need to be balanced, only that they are all around 5% before any are killed. When all are low, finish them off and the event ends. The anti-discord councilmen despawn, loot spawns, lockout generated and flags given.
