Mounts are creatures and items characters can ride. Most mounts grant an increase in movement speed. They may also grant a buff of various kinds, Armor Class, Mana, Hit Points, etc.

With the release of The Darkened Sea expansion, mounts may be kept on a Mount Key Ring.

Mount speed

See also: Movement rate

Mounts appear to have the following speeds (slowest to fastest): Slow1, Slow2, Run1, Run2, Fast.

Speed matching

All mounts will now run at the speed of the fastest mount you have used. You may need to re-use your fastest mount in order to teach the others how quickly to run.

Upgrade roboboar

There are several ways to obtain a roboboar. If you purchased the Depths of Darkhollow or Titanium box set you can claim a Collapsible Roboboar. You can also get a Shiny New Collapsible Roboboar by completing the Tenth Anniversary quest Deity Favors.

It is possible to upgrade your roboboar to make it faster. There are several ways to do it. The following ways will increase it a Class V (top speed) roboboar:

Fastest mounts

Here's a list of all the mounts that run at the fastest speed. Be aware that checking the "fast/very fast" description in the buff is no longer a valid way to compare mount speed.

Mount Blessing

From the Game Update Notes: July 16, 2014:

Mounts that previously offered stat bonuses as part of the mount spell will now cast a separate buff spell so that you can ride whichever mount you like best without having to worry about buff stacking conflicts.

What this means is that mounts that offer stat bonuses will now cast a Mount Blessing _____ buff on you when you summon them. This buff lasts for a base time of six hours and will grant you the stat bonuses of the mount. You can also dismount and keep the buff on you.

Summoning and dismounting changes

-- When right clicking the bridle of the mount you are currently riding, you will now be automatically dismounted. This functionality does not apply to the Bridle of the Flying Imperial Sokokar.

-- When right clicking the bridle of a different mount than the one you are currently riding, you will be automatically dismounted, and the new mount will be summoned.

-- Paladins and Shadowknights: When right clicking a non-expendable bridle, your mount will be summoned instantly, matching the functionality of the mounts summoned by your AA abilities.
