  • Druids and Wizards have ports to Shadeweaver's Tangle. Self only at level 114, group and others at level 115. The spells are sold by Danala Valith (Teleportation Spells) in Shar Vahl, Divided for ~3,200 platinum each.

Unlocking[edit | edit source]

In order to enter Deepshade you must complete the mission Hero of Shadow Haven: When One Door Closes. This enables you to get past the looked door in Ruins of Shadow Haven to reach the zone line to Deepshade. However, if (I believe) someone on the server has completed the raid, When One Door Closes, the locked door disappears from the Ruins of Shadow Haven and anyone may now enter Deepshade.

To enter Darklight Caverns someone must temporarily remove the rocks blocking the doorway in Deepshade next to the Darklight Caverns zone line by hailing a spirit of perseverance. Hailing a spirit of perseverance will remove the rocks for about 30 seconds. The character hailing a spirit of perseverance must have completed Partisan of Deepshade for the rocks to be removed.

Characters may also use a fellowship campfire or a guild banner to enter Darklight Caverns. However, it may be required to have completed the mission Hero of Shadow Haven: When One Door Closes (Allakhazam, EQ Resource) to do so.

Raid Progression[edit | edit source]

Release schedule[edit | edit source]

Tier 1 raids will be available beginning Saturday, January 7, 2023. Tier 2 raids will be available beginning Saturday, February 4, 2023. Tier 3 raids will be available beginning Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Paludal Caverns – Insatiable an Appetite - Fueled by her unending hunger for absolute dominance, Skihnar Queen Hashiss is spawning an army of minions to flood Norrath in order to obliterate its denizens and take control. It’s up to you adventurers to face this infestation and stop it.

Shar Vahl – Pit Fight - Grimlings, due to all the unrest in Shar Vahl, have become bolder. Citizens have been disappearing. Sergeant Hujiid wants to teach them not to mess with the Vah Shir, but just can't spare the people with all the issues in the city. So, she is sending adventurers like you. What she doesn't know is that the grimlings are gathering with the intent of sacking the city and taking what they can before the Akheva arrive.

Shar Vahl – Mean Streets - A rebellious uprising has created turmoil—and maybe even caused death—and its mysterious leader must be found and destroyed. Beware, all those who enter, illusions and manipulation abound, and achieving triumph will take cunning and resolve.

Ruins of Shadow Haven - When One Door Closes - Something has clearly caused massive destruction in Shadow Haven. Some witnesses—though not consistent with others—claim that a monster rampaged through the old door smashing it to pieces. It then wreaked havoc inside, eventually returning through the shattered doorway. However, looking at it now, it seems that such a tale can't be true since the door is there and as solid as ever…

Deepshade – Myconid Mutiny - Sporali living in the Deepshade have been restless under the thumb of some sort of manic artist. Their chaotic, dangerous behavior is hindering efforts to find out what lies at the heart of the moonquake and the destruction happening around it. The only way forward is to stop the sporali before they bring their chaos to other places on Luclin.

Deepshade – Dance of the Demiurge - Madness has gripped the mysterious Malthshisku who believes he can be a greater creator of all things than those that came before. He is apparently planning his future efforts in the form of a play. He watches from an unknown location as his minions play out what his reign would look like. There is only one way to bring this self-appointed deity out to face justice.

Darklight Caverns – The Spirit Fades - The great spirits have freed Grakaw, but even they dare not approach him. He has been imprisoned and tortured for so long that he doesn't trust anyone. And even now, magic binds him—magic that the spirits can’t even see, much less remove. Heroes are needed to help finally free Grakaw.

Firefall Pass – The Shadows Move - The Akheva have begun their push to take Shar Vahl. Knowing that the army is coming, the Vah Shir choose to meet them in the pass where their superior numbers won't mean as much as they are bottle-necked by the narrow tunnel through the mountain. Moreover, their military resources are depleted by turmoil in the city, so they now ask brave souls to help them at least reduce the enemy's numbers before arriving at Shar Vahl.

Shar Vahl – Under Siege - Once the Akheva get through Firefall Pass, they will arrive at Shar Vahl in large enough numbers to take the city if the heroes do not once again assist the Vah Shir. Hold the bridge, defeat their leader, and save the treasure that is Shar Vahl and the citizens who call it home.

Items[edit | edit source]

Links[edit | edit source]

Visible armor[edit | edit source]

Many items needed for armor may be purchased from Chialle (Merchant) in Shar Vahl, Divided.

Group

Tier 1 gear is called Ascending Spirit, obtained by taking a dropped Faded Ascending Spirit <slot name> Armor piece; along with an emblem of your class, and Ascending Spirit Honed Luclinite

Tier 2 gear is called Celestial Zenith, obtained by taking a dropped Faded Celestial Zenith <slot name> Armor piece; along with an emblem of your class and Celestial Zenith Honed Luclinite.

Raid

Raid armor is called <class type> <slot name> of Spectral Luminosity. It is obtained by taking a raid dropped Faded Spectral Luminosity <slot name> Armor piece; along with an emblem of your class and Spiritual Luminosity Honed Luclinite, both of which can be purchased from Chialle (Merchant) in Shar Vahl, Divided.

Tradeskilled (Visible armor)

There is both group and raid created armor.

To make group gear you need to take the mob or chest drop Otherworldly <slot name> Armor Lining and combine it in a tradeskilled Spiritually Faded Luclinite <slot name> Armor with Luclinite Enrichment Medium, and an emblem of your class.

To make raid gear you need to take a raid chest Apparitional <slot name> Armor Lining and combine it in a tradeskiled Spiritually Faded Luclinite <slot name> Armor with Luclinite Enrichment Medium, some Spiritual Luclinite Powder (EQ Traders), and an emblem of your class.

The raid tradeskilled gear is called Spectral Luclinite <class type> of <slot name>.

The containers are consumed during the combine.

Tradeskilled[edit | edit source]

In a change from recent expansions, these require a slot specific no-trade dropped item to create. For group gear, Otherworldly <slotname> items can drop off of named mobs and in mission chests. For raid gear, Apparitional <slotname> items are in raid chests.

These are created with a player tradeskill made Spiritually Faded Luclinite <slotname> container; and combining (no fail) with the dropped Otherworldly <slotname> item for group, or a Apparitional <slotname> item and Spiritual Luclinite Powder (no fail) for raid.

For each of the below, the name of the item begins with either Otherworldly (group) or Apparitional (raid):

The final group tradeskilled tems are called Phantasmal Luclinite. Group items are approximately 10.7k HP, Mana, End.

The final raid tradeskiled items are called Spectral Luclinite. Raid items are approximately 14k HP, Mana, End.

Augmentations[edit | edit source]

To create augmentations, the same process is used as for items. The mob drop is called Acolyte's, Devotee's, or Otherworldly Focus.

Type 18/19

Main article: Type 18/19 augmentations > Night of Shadows

Type 4/7/8 and Type 5

Main articles: Type 4/7/8 augmentations > Night of Shadows, Type 5 augmentations > Night of Shadows

Power Sources[edit | edit source]

Luclin Power Source can drop from named (rare) mobs. In addition, you can buy some power sources from a mysterious presence (Overseer Merchant) in the Plane of Knowledge for about 15,000 Overseer Tetradrachm.

Cloaks of the Selenelion[edit | edit source]

Main article: Cloaks of the Selenelion

An evolving cloak has a chance to appear in the chest in the Ruins of Shadow Haven mission When One Door Closes. As it evolves, it starts as Evolving: Level 1/2. To evolve it to level 2 requires wearing it and gaining experience. Once it has evolved to 2/2, achievements are needed to advance it to the next cloak.

Upon gaining an achievement:

  • Evolves into Vivid Cloak of the Selenelion - 1/2
    • Evolves into Aged Vivid Cloak of the Selenelion - 2/2

There are further advanced cloaks.

For the best version, six achievements in NoS are required.

Alternate currency[edit | edit source]

Night of Shadows introduces two new alternate currency types:

January and Feburary 2023: 10
