The Resplendent Temple is a Tier 3 zone in the Veil of Alaris expansion.

The Resplendent Temple is the very picture of beauty and perfection, with its gleaming white bastions and immaculate arched gates. Dedicated to the god of splendor, this temple is the very pinnacle of all beauty in Alaris. All is not perfect in the temple however, deep in the heart of the temple there exists a rotten core where all that does not meet the god's standards resides.

This zone is linked to Valley of Lunanyn; Sarith, City of Tides; Erillion, City of Bronze; and Pillars of Alra.

Zone layout

You can get through the Temple to Pillars of Alra without even going through the KOS part of Temple.

  • There are two towers in the non-kos part that go all the way high up. High enough to enable levitation across to the upper garden right before Pillars zoneline.
    • Two things to note though are: a couple of KOS mobs at the very tower top that do not see invis, and the "wind trap" that drags you along (wait for it to fade before attempting to lev over).

Faction

There are two factions of nitore in the Temple.

  • Order of Radiance - Everyone starts off KoS to this faction, includes probers, purgers, enforcers -- most of the mob types that hang out in the "KoS" area.
  • Seekers of Splendor - Believed everyone starts at indifferent faction with these guys. The entrance, lower floors, and top garden area are populated with these guys. Killing any type of nitore is a negative hit to this faction.

End result of completing Temple Hunter (Mercenary of The Resplendent Temple) tasks is you become hated by all nitore. It's no longer safe to walk through any areas of the Temple, never knowing when you will turn a corner and bump into a see invis Elder and the ensuing train.

You can restore your Seekers of Splendor faction by killing pigs it just takes a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

Doing the Beautiful Corpses mercenary task or the The Light Within partisan task gains you a "Nitore Initiate Robes" which should give you a faction bonus when worn. More details on the Nitore Initiate Robes is needed.

Quests

I had some thoughts on the tank roles too mylesf. The way I see it is that the original design had guardians as the defensive tank which equalled the tank with the most mitigation. That doomed every other class to be an extra until TSO when they gave the other classes equal survivability, that doomed everyone but crusaders to be extras .So I'd like to see a class design letter go out that scraps that original idea and instead go for something like thisEqual survivability for tank classes (close-ish at least and different avoidance/mitigation makesups)Then Crusaders = best for AoEGuardians = best to protect party physicallyMonks = best to protect party via resistancesWith Beserkers/Brawlers trading some extra DPS for less mitigation/avoidance or party protection. Then make the content a bit more intelligent to stop AoE being the only route (more ranged mobs, more intelligent mobs).
