Zones in Veil of Alaris have very little restriction. Players can basically go wherever they choose in the expansion. There is no need to "unlock" a tier to enter it.

Getting to VoA
Anyone with the expansion can take an airship from Steamfont to Argath. Guild portals will also take you to Argath. Druids and Wizards can get self only, group, and translocate port spells at level 90Druids and Wizards will get ports to Pillars of Alra. Druids also get ports to Beasts' Domain. Wizards get ports to Sarith.

You may also go to the Sepulcher of Order by dropping down the crack in the center of the zone in Shard's LandingIt is recommended that you have levitation on, as you arrive above the ground. It also may not be a safe spot, so being able to evacuate to the zone in while floating down is a good idea.

* Tier 1: To create the first tier of armor you need "Modest xyz of Illdeara", which are slot specific and drop from the first tier raid. Once you have that you'll need to acquire a tradeskill crafted Osmium or Fantastic template, and purchase a coalescing agent that matches your class as well as a Reliquary of Refinement from the Yaun in Argath, the Mountain Fotress. Combine the dropped item, agent, and template inside the Reliquary, which is consumed on use, to create the armor.
* Tier 2: You'll need a "Elegant xyz of Lunanyn" from tier 2 raids. You then combine that with either a tier one piece of armor; or with a piece of Plain Unadorned Armor (about 10.5k) and coalescing agent sold by Yaun, inside the Reliquary of Refinement (consumed on combine).
* Tier 3: You combine an "Stately xyz of Ladrys" with a tier two piece armor; or with a Detailed Unadorned Armor (about 13k per, requires 71 Alaran to buy) and coalescing agent sold by Kelur, inside the Reliquary of Refinement.
* Tier 4: The fourth tier uses a "Ostentatious xyz of Somewhere" with a tier three piece; or a Sophisticated Unadorned Armor (about 16k per, requires 90 Alaran to buy) and coalescing agent also sold by Kelur, inside the Reliquary of Refinement.

Computer Freezing while playing WoW?For the last cuploe of weeks I've been having a heck of a time doing battlegrounds, specifically Warsong Gultch. Everytime I cross the playfield and go inside the horde base, regardeless of entry point, my screen freezes. I still hear sound as if the match is continuing, and can alt-tab out of the game and use other programs, but when I try to go back into WoW the screen is still frozen. I've noticed this issue in every BG available. Whether entering the horde base in WSG, facing the Stables flag in AB, facing Mage Tower in Eye of the storm, or guarding one of the two bunkers in AV, I get the same freezing issue. What's wierd is that it's only these areas of the BGs that give me problems. I can go everywhere else in the BGs besides those locations and things are fine. There have been two error messages I've recieved when trying to deal with this issue: 1.)  VPU recover was unable to fully recover from a hardware deadlock and has switched to software rendering. 2.)  Failed to find a suitable display driver.  I've read multiple suggestions of how to fix this issue. I've downloaded the latest drivers for my graphics card, tried slowing my hardware acceloration (which gives me even more graphical issues), scanned my computer for viruses, Defragged my hard-drive, Cleaned out cookies and temp. files, deleted my Interface/Cashe folders in my WoW folder, disabling VPU Recover in my ATI Radeon control center, cleaning out my system with air pressure, and even used the World of Warcraft- Repair tool which found no issues. I'll include my DxDiag for futher information on my system. If anyone else is having these same issues or has any further advice for me that I haven't already tried above, please follow-up with me on this thread. Tomorrow I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game but since the repair tool didn't find any corrupt files I doubt this will fix the issue. Thanks for reading.      System Information      Time of this report: 6/14/2008, 22:18:25Machine name: YOUR-55E5F9E3D2Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)Language: English (Regional Setting: English)System Manufacturer: HP Pavilion 061System Model: PX769AA-ABA a1130nBIOS: Phoenix  Award BIOS v6.00PGProcessor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHzMemory: 3070MB RAMPage File: 494MB used, 5485MB availableWindows Dir: C:WINDOWSDirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)DX Setup Parameters: Not foundDxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode    DxDiag Notes    DirectX Files Tab: No problems found.Display Tab 1: No problems found. :Main article: Veil of Alaris pre-launch quests

From EQPlayers News:
<blockquote>The Gnomes are about to commence work on their greatest project ever! Join them Saturday, October 1 through Sunday [sic, recte Monday], November 14, 2011.</blockquote>

<blockquote>Deep in the valleys of the Steamfont Mountains the Gnomes are preparing perhaps their most ambitious endeavor to date, the construction of a massive airship. Does this have anything to do with the Emissary of Brell? Where do the Gnomes plan to travel? Has the King of Ak'Anon contrived some plan of his own? Journey to the land of the Gnomes and investigate their enterprise. Perhaps you could lend a hand, as the gnomish people have been known on occasion to be generous to those who assist them.</blockquote>

<blockquote>Go forth and find the answer to this gnomish enigma! Seek the Chief Engineers for revelations on the future of Norrath!</blockquote>

An Ancient Text
The pre-launch quests Baga's Stand (only in game at certain times) and Engine Trouble (Group Mission) have An Ancient Text as the reward. Engine Trouble only gives out one in the chest upon completion.

If you right click An Ancient Text, it gives you An Ancient Text (a different item, even though it has the same name). Reading An Ancient Text supposedly gives you a head start in learning the progression language for Veil of Alaris.

* Free Target.  This enables you to target areas.  One use is to spawn Auras.  Shaman will be able to spawn their Malos Idol in a spot away from them.  They will no longer have to run up and plant it.
