The starting city of the Vah Shir is Shar Vahl on the moon of Luclin. The Vah Shir have the characteristics of a large bipedal feline. They have a feline head, claws, fur, and tail as well. They also have very good sneaking abilities allowing them to go undetected. The Vah Shir have night vision to allow them to travel both by day and night. They can also fall from certain heights without taking any damage because of their feline characteristics. A Vah Shir can become a Bard, Beastlord, Rogue, Shaman or Warrior.

This is all paraphrased from the pen and paper EQ roleplaying book "Luclin":
Kejaan Kerrath- a great leader who united the tribes into a single nation of the Kerran in Odus ending a long bloody civil war. Kejaan Kerrath then divided the responsibilites of the new nation, Komiyat Kerrath to the united clans:
Clan Shir - the nobels, generals and warriors.
Clan Kajek - the shamans and counselors.
Clan Shahar - the hunters and farmers.
Clan Karani - the civil servants and bureaucrats.
Vah was the son of Kejaan who upon his father's death took the throne and gathered his elite forces in the Clan Shir city of Shar Vahl intending on joining the erudites in the war against the heretics. Then a big chunk of Odus was blown into space including the city of Shar Val.
Once on Luclin, the Vah Shir (newly named from the clan and leader) formed the culture that is known today. Vah Kerrath's son, Raja Kerrath rules Shar Val now.
Khati Sha was a great beastlord and explorer who dissapeared in The Grey during the rule of Vah Kerrath.
Dar Khura was Vah Kerrath's chief shaman and was lost while trying to search the Umbral Planes for the Akheva.
The above information was [https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/index.php?threads/quick-fun-questions-for-devs.248044/#post-3645512 cited by Niente, EQ Developer] as "...fairly accurate (some other posts in that thread are not). EQ lore has openly contradictory things in various places, as well as races and zones that were never implemented - Luclin is no exception; I'd assume only what can be sourced in game to be canon."
