The frost and storm giants are at war with each other and will attack you depending on your faction standing.  Killing one type of giant will improve your faction standing with the other (and, of course, hurt it with the ones you are killing).  The faction can change very rapidly, about 30 kills can change you from KOS to non-KOS.  If you increase your faction with one side, you can travel to their section relatively safely.

The direwolfs might remain dubious

* Apparitions of Fear - Might be the prowlers (dark wolves).
* Dragon Death Keep - This appears to be the storm giants. It is lowered by killing storm giants. It can be raised by killing frost giants.
* Iceshard Manor - This appears to be the frost giants. It is lowered by killing frost giants. It can be raised by killing storm giants.

== Lore ==
The storm and frost giants within Kael Drakkel have fought for years with the dragons and Coldain. The giants withstood the invasion of the dragons, and they harried the Coldain in the city of Thurgadin. The giants thought they knew their enemies. They were unprepared.

A malevolent, mysterious power has entered Kael Drakkel. Though unaware of this incursion, King Tormax's thoughts have become troubled. He sees enemies everywhere: the Coldain, the dragons, the mercenaries, and even the Kromrif. Even ordinary citizens have begun to see their fears coming to life. The brothers of Iceshard Manor are afraid that Tormax will destroy the city from within. 

Their only hope is a forceful intervention by mercenaries brave enough to confront the king's madness.
