The Outer Brood

The Outer Brood (TOB) will be EverQuest's 31st expansion. It was announced during the 2024 Fippy Fest. Expected release in December 2024.

A prelude event is expected in August 2024, which tasks players with helping a small band of healers and adventurers.

Getting to TOB[edit | edit source]

  • The guild hall teleportation assistant sells placeholder for placeholder platinum pieces that will change the guild portal to teleport you to placeholder.
  • Druids and Wizards have ports to placeholder. Self only at level placeholder, group and others at level placeholder. The spells are sold by placeholder in placeholder for ~placeholder platinum each.
  • placeholder - Claim item personal teleport device. Obtained with purchase of the Collector's, Premium, or Family & Friends Editions. Ports to placeholder.

Rank I

Rank I spells can be purchased from NPC merchants in placeholder. The NPCs are placeholder (Melee Tomes), placeholder (Wizard and Magician Spells), placeholder (Enchanter and Bard Spells), placeholder (Necromancer, Shadow Knight Spell), placeholder (Cleric and Paladin Spells), placeholder (Druid and Ranger Spells), and placeholder (Shaman and Beastlord Spells). Each spell or tome costs around placeholder platinum.

Rank II

Rank II spells are gotten by clicking placeholder drops from named mobs, mission chests, or randomly off of trash mobs.

Raid

The dropped pieces from raid chests are placeholder <slotname> Armor. The completed armor pieces are called <classname> <slotname> of placeholder.


Tradeskilled (Visible armor)

These require a slot specific no-trade dropped item to create. For group gear, placeholder <slotname> items can drop off of named mobs and in mission chests. For raid gear, placeholder <slotname> items are in raid chests.

These are created with a player tradeskill made placeholder <slotname> container; and combining (no fail) with the dropped placeholder <slotname> item for group, or a placeholder <slotname> item and placeholder (no fail) for raid.

For each of the below, the name of the dropped item begins with either placeholder (group) or placeholder (raid):

  • Amice Fastener - Shoulder
  • Belt Buckle - Waist
  • Charm Polishing Cloth - Charm
Group
  • Brilliant Charm of placeholder - This charm improves as you complete quests and missions within The Outer Brood
  • Security Charm of placeholder - This charm improves as you wear more class-specific armor from The Outer Brood
  • Vigorous Charm of placeholder - This charm improves as you kill rare creatures within The Outer Brood
Raid
  • Brilliant Charm of placeholder - This charm improves as you complete quests and missions within The Outer Brood
  • Security Charm of placeholder - This charm improves as you wear more class-specific armor from The Outer Brood
  • Vigorous Charm of placeholder - This charm improves as you kill rare creatures within The Outer Brood

Alternate currency[edit | edit source]

The Outer Brood introduces two new alternate currency types:
